promoting the unwanted, redheaded stepchild that is individual liberty

Maybe I’m naive. 8816_1221552587209_1480779400_584269_4032031_n[1]
At the tender age of 24, I have decided to reject status-quo American politics. Democrat or Republican, it doesn’t matter — they both scare the hell out of me. Washington, as I see it, has become one big, bipartisan love-fest.

‘Redheaded Politics’ will attempt to be fair and balanced in its critic of both the Left and the Right. My goal is to give a voice to the unwanted, “redheaded stepchild” that is individual liberty.

Of course, you know what they say about opinions — and mine will sometimes stink. For this reason, I welcome your opinions, praise and criticism. After all, blogs should be a conversation, not a monologue.

God gave us reason, let’s use it.

  1. Hey Jessica,
I read your article in the paper on Sunday and followed it up with reading you blogs on your page online. They are all very well written. It’s nice to see people that through all this political bs right now, that people stick by their beliefs.

  2. Hi Jessica,
I stumbled across your site while looking for feminist pictures and I’m doing an assignment for uni on semiotics of a text and chose your picture. (Man hatin’…) I was wondering if you could tell me more about it, what were your contextual ideas behind the image and why you choose the type of language?
P.s. Its good to know I’m not the only young woman that classifies herself as a feminst!

  3. Rochelle,

Actually, I got the image from another blog which I don’t think was the original source. I searched for the creator but couldn’t find her.

Sorry I couldn’t be of more help! Good luck on your assignment and thank you for your courage.

  4. Hey Jessica,

I have read some of your blogs, and I must say that I am so relieved to know that there are other womyn who express in an educated and articulate manner issues that are vital to society. Check out my blog as well. I am confident you will find it immensely interesting given what you write about.

  5. Thats funny? Just did a poll in the Joplin Globe. when I supported Obama I said my email add. was wrong. Did it again and didn’t support Obama it let me submit it.
